Microphone Production Assistant (Full Time)

Our in-house product assembly team is looking for a full-time Production Assistant at our main production facility here in Oberschöneweide, Berlin, Germany.

This role mainly entails the following tasks: soldering components and capsules to PCBs, assembling and testing PCB stacks, assisting in the production through use of CNC, press drills and UV printers, to final assembly of studio microphones as well as fault finding any issues that may occur during production, acoustic semi-anechoic testing of assembled and prototype devices, while maintaining a high attention to detail and ensuring adherence to our set quality control standards and practices, at the same time working together and building-on our overall production process as part of our welcoming and inclusive team.

Working Hours

  • This is a full-time job (Monday to Friday – 37.5 hours a week)
  • Usual hours are 10 AM to 6 PM (10:00-18:00) but are flexible with negotiation

Main Tasks

  • assembling PCBs
  • soldering THT/SMT components to PCBs
  • assembling/wiring/soldering and testing microphones
  • fault finding any issues that may occur during production
  • assisting in the overall production and acoustic testing
  • final packing of product

Required Skills

  • soldering of THT-Parts
  • skilled in handling of mid-size wrenches, screwdrivers and other small tools
  • high-level of attention to detail, with focus on efficient time management
  • a proactive and solution driven mindset
  • ensuring adherence to Aim Audio quality control standards and practices
  • experience with MS office applications (Word/Excel)

Optional, but desirable skills

  • soldering of SMT parts
  • working with mechanical engineering hardware, including CNC mills and UV-printers
  • experience and understanding of precision audio testing equipment
  • playing musical instruments and/or having an interest in pro audio etc.

 

Annual starting pay is dependent on experience, but we offer a range of employment benefits and are an open opportunities employer.
